16Waves of Activism coincides with the annual 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children Campaign.
The 16 Days of Activism is a United Nations campaign which takes place annually from 25 November (International Day of No Violence against Women) to 10 December (International Human Rights Day). Other key commemorative days during this period include World Aids Day on the 1st December and the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, on 3 December of every year.
16Waves is a community event to:

Advocate for victims of GBV
Support victims of GBV
Each wave rider collects their own sponsors to donate the amount of their choosing for them to have

Step 1: Register
Sign up with your details to start collecting sponsors.Make sure to attend on 11 December to confirm your registration and pick up your free Swag Bag (for the first 100 earning registrants).
Collect as many friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc as you can to make a donation for you to catch waves, raise awareness, and advocate for victims of Gender-based Violence.
During 16 days of activism (25 November to 10 December) catch waves, and fulfill your commitment to your sponsors. Paddle out and Stand Up against GBV.Don’t forget to share your stoke and tag @16_waves!
